归化翻译策略在煤炭矿井工程名词术语英译中的应用

摘　　要：随着煤炭行业逐渐走向安全开采、高效利用、清洁环保的新阶段,以及中国煤矿领域先进技术随着“一带一路”倡议不断走向国际市场,其名词术语翻译的准确性与规范性在国际技术与与学术交流中起着越来越关键的作用。煤炭领域名词术语作为科技名词术语的一个小众分支,且具有极强的专业性和跨学科性,其英译需要科学的翻译策略和适当的翻译方法。对比2010年和2019年国家标准文件《煤炭矿井工程基本术语标准》术语英译的变化情况,对煤炭矿井工程领域名词术语的英译方法进行举例分析和深入探讨,总结出煤炭矿井工程名词术语的英译多采用意译的翻译方法,并分析了此方法本质上属于归化翻译策略,进而提出运用采用归化策略解决煤矿领域科技术语翻译中的译名选择难题和学科交叉问题,促进该领域技术与学术成果的国际交流与传播。The coal industry is gradually moving towards a new stage of safe mining, efficient utilization and clean environment protection, and the advanced technology in China’s coal mining field is going to the international market with the “Belt and Road” initiative, the accuracy and standardization of its terminology translation plays an increasingly critical role in international technical and academic exchanges.As a niche branch of science and technology terminology, coal terminology is highly specialized and interdisciplinary, and its English translation requires scientific translation strategies and appropriate translation methods.This paper compares the changes of Chinese national standard document “Basic Terminology Standard for Coal Mine Engineering” 2010 edition and 2019 edition, analyzes the English translation methods of the terminology of the mine field with examples and discusses them in depth.It is concluded that the English translation of the terminology of the coal mine engineering mostly adopts the translation method of paraphrase, and such method is essentially a domestication strategy.The adoption of domestication translation strategy is conducive to solving the problems of translation name selection and interdisciplinary problems of the scientific and technical terms in the field of coal mining, and promoting the international exchange and communication of technical and academic achievements in coal field.
