摘　　要：作为一部伟大的文学文化典籍,《楚辞》吸引了众多的译者,而孙大雨便是其中之一。孙译《楚辞》具有显著的深度翻译特征,具体表现为介绍性前言、推荐性前言与后记、辅助性插图、研究性导言、扩展性评注。同时,孙译所采用的深度翻译实现了以下六种功能:向英语世界介绍屈原其人,突出屈原作品在中国及世界历史上的地位,引导读者接近译者,激发读者的阅读兴趣,减少目标语读者的阅读障碍,促进中华文化的对外传播。As a great literary and cultural canon,the Chu ci has attracted many translators,and Sun Dayu is one of them.Sun’s translation of the Chu ci is typically characterized by thick translation which is embodied explicitly in the form of paratextual elements,including introductory forewords,recommendatory preface and postscript,auxiliary illustrations,academic introductions,and extended notes and comments.Meanwhile,the thick translation adopted by the translator has realized six functions:introducing Qu Yuan to the English world,highlighting the status of Qu Yuan’s works,leading readers to approach the translator,arousing readers’interest in the translation,facilitating readers’understanding of the original,and promoting the dissemination of Chinese culture.
