论译者林徽因及译本《夜莺与玫瑰》

摘　　要：近有学者称林徽因是翻译家并开始研究其译作,然林氏只在19岁时译过单篇童话《夜莺与玫瑰》,此后不再涉足文学翻译领域,也没有发表过有影响力的译作,是故更宜称其为“译者”。通过对比论证,文章认为某出版社出版的童话集《夜莺与玫瑰》并非译自林徽因之手,其收录的单篇童话《夜莺与玫瑰》译本也非出自林徽因之手。后续诸多聚焦于“林徽因唯一文学译作”《夜莺与玫瑰》的作品都可能出现问题,长远来看危害极大,应加以清理。许多与“林徽因唯一文学译作”《夜莺与玫瑰》有关的研究也并非基于林徽因译本,学界应多加辨认,纠正此种乱象。Recently,some scholars have addressed Lin Huiyin as“an excellent translator”and began to research Lin’s translation.However,Miss Lin only translated at the age of 19 a single fairy tale The Nightingale and the Rose,and since then she has not been involved in the literary translation,nor has she published any influential translations.Thus,it is more appropriate to address Miss Lin a“translator”.Furthermore,based on the comparative arguments the article concludes that the fairy tale collection The Nightingale and the Rose published by one of the Press was not translated actually by Lin Huiyin,nor was the single fairy tale The Nightingale and the Rose in the collection.Many subsequent Chinese versions focusing on The Nightingale and the Rose which is claimed to be the only literary translation by Lin Huiyin may have problems,are suspected and in the long run is a very harmful move that should be corrected.Many studies on The Nightingale and the Rose claimed to be Lin Huiyin’s only literary translation,are not really based on Lin’s translation,so the academic community should make great efforts to identify and correct this mess.
