摘 要:医学教育是基督教会在华事业的重要组成部分。随着教会医学校的增多,教学语言的争论随之而起,涉及医学与传教、专业化与本土化等问题,并逐渐从中文教学为主转变为中英文教学并重的局面。之后,在洛克菲勒基金会决定采用英文教学、引入精英教育模式的情况下,教会医学教育的语言格局再次调整,决定建设一所高水平的以中文为教学语言的医学校,以保证教会在医学教育领域的影响力。通过对教学语言的探讨,可从中发现教会在医学与传教中所面临的困境,以及近代中国医学教育的时代印记。Medical education was an important part of the Christian Church's career in China.With the increase of church medical schools,the debate of teaching language ensued,causing controversies between medicine and missionary work,specialization and localization.The teaching language transferred from Chinese to biligual.Later,when the Rockefeller Foundation decided to adopt English teaching and introduce the medical elite education model,the situation changed again,and the church decided to build a high-level medical school with Chinese as the language of instruction to ensure the influence of Christianity in the field of medical education.Through the discussion,we can discover the difficulties faced by the church in medicine and missionary,as well as the imprint of times of modern medical education in China.
