摘 要:美国自然历史博物馆教学硕士项目旨在为纽约市薄弱学校培养7~12年级地球科学教师,是美国教师教育解制化以及科学、技术、工程及数学教育师资短缺背景下的一项创新实践。项目招录选拔兼顾申请者学术能力与教学品性,培养过程贯通正式与非正式教育环境,搭建全方位的职后支持网络,并构建以第三方评估为主导的项目质量保障机制。项目的实施彰显美国自然历史博物馆秉承公共与民主的教育担当,践行以实践共同体为核心的教育理念,关注以实践探究为导向的教育体验,为跨界整合各类公共教育资源培养教师进行了积极探索。The Master of Arts in Teaching Program(MAT)in the American Museum of Natural History aims to prepare earth science teachers for grades 7-12 of high-needs public schools in New York City.It is an innovative practice in the context of the deregulation of teacher education and the shortage of STEM teachers in the United States.The recruitment and selection of MAT takes into account the academic ability and teaching character of the applicants.The preparing process is connected with the formal and informal education environment.MAT establishes a comprehensive after-graduation support network and quality assurance mechanism led by third-party institutions.The implementation of MAT shows that the American Museum of Natural History takes the education responsibility connecting to the public goods and democracy,adheres to the education concept of community of practice,focuses on the education experience oriented by practical inquiry,and actively integrates the various resources to prepare STEM teachers.
