目的论视角下材料科技英语翻译方法研究——以《迷人的材料》中译本为例

摘　　要：随着现代科技的高速发展与全球经济一体化的日益深入,科技英语翻译在国际学术和生产技术交流中的重要性日益突显。作为科技英语翻译重要组成部分之一,材料科技英语翻译较少作为主要研究对象。基于此,文章将在目的论指导下,从词汇、句子和语篇等三大层面探讨《迷人的材料》中译本所采用的翻译方法和特点,努力实现与预期读者交际的目的。With the rapid development of modern science and technology and the promotion of global economic integration, EST translation is of great importance in international academic and production technology exchanges. Yet as a vital part of EST translation, EST translation of materials is uncommonly taken as the main research object. Based on this, this paper, from the perspective of Skopos Theory, discusses the translation methods and features of the Chinese version of the book Stuff Matters from such three aspects as vocabulary, sentence, and discourse, trying to achieve good communication with the expected readers.
