摘 要:在中国一流大学的本科通识教育改革中,人文经典教学成为其标志性的课程模式,本文选取复旦大学、北京大学、清华大学、武汉大学等高校的18位人文社科领域通识教育骨干教师开展深度访谈。他们长期致力于基于经典的通识教学,具有一定的典型性和影响力,其人文学养和通识理念主要源自大学时期的广泛阅读;而由于大学教育环境的变化,如今学生自主时间减少,致知模式改变,读书更依赖教师的讲解与课程设计。本文通过分析受访教师所开设通识教育人文经典课程的类型及特征,发现经典教学促使教师开展与作者、与学生的“双重对话”从而具有学科自律的潜力,并指出经典课程在重塑本科教育理念、促进学生人格舒展、传承古典学问等方面的诸多挑战,认为近二十年来的人文经典教学探索是一项守先待后的文化事业。In the reform of general education in the undergraduate curriculum of top Chinese universities,general education courses focusing on the classics of humanities became an iconic course model.This paper provides a synopsis of the approaches to teaching these courses based on interviews with eighteen faculty members from universities such as Fudan University, Peking University,Tsinghua University,Wuhan University,etc.Gaining influence through their extensive experience in teaching courses of general education using the classics of humanities,their approaches can be considered representative.The intellectual foundations of their approaches came from their own experience in extensive readings of these classics.The changing environment of a college education leads to the reduction of reading time for students and change in their study patterns.Students rely more on teachers’ instruction and course design.This paper argues that there are three main types of courses of general education.Through teaching the classics in their courses,these professors initiate dialogues with both the authors of these works and the students.This paper also discusses the challenges faced by these courses of general education in areas such as re-establishing the ideas of undergraduate education,shaping the personalities of the students,and continuing learning the classics.It further points out that the exploration of the methods of classics-based courses of general education during the recent two decades is a transformative enterprise that links the past with the future.
