摘　　要：《中国英语能力等级量表》(以下简称《量表》)为我国英语教学和测评提供了标准参照。为进一步发挥《量表》在教材编写、考试设计等方面的积极作用,《量表》在能力描述维度作了新的扩充。本文聚焦《量表》新增的书面表达能力特征量表,在阐释其必要性和重要性的基础上,着重论述这一量表准确性、丰富性、连贯性和得体性维度的具体内容与显性级别差异。文章最后简要说明了《量表》的新发展对英语写作教材编写和试题设计的重要应用价值。The China’s Standards of English Language Ability(CSE) provides a set of criteria for English language teaching, learning and assessment in China. In order to play a greater role in improving English material development and empowering test design, the CSE has been expanded in its dimensions of ability description. Focusing on the newly added Language Features Scales of Written Expression to the CSE, this paper first explains the necessity and significance of the new dimension, and then elucidates the details and across-level salient features of its four sub-dimensions, namely accuracy, variety, coherence, and appropriateness. The paper concludes by indicating the significant value of the new dimension of the CSE for English writing material development and test design.
