摘 要:本研究使用击键记录法开展翻译实验,对比分析学生译者和半职业译者翻译高、低难度文本时使用翻译单位数量和大小方面的差异。研究发现:(1)翻译经验的主效应不显著,学生译者和半职业译者使用的翻译单位数量和大小差异不显著;(2)翻译难度的主效应显著。翻译高难度文本时,翻译单位显著变小,1至6词翻译单位数量显著增加,而≥7词各层次翻译单位数量无显著变化。(3)翻译经验和翻译难度对翻译单位大小的交互影响显著。简单效应分析发现,学生译者翻译高、低难度文本时使用的翻译单位大小差异不显著,而半职业译者翻译高难度文本时使用的翻译单位比翻译低难度文本时显著变小。以上发现为构建翻译单位认知加工模型提供了新的实证数据,对译者认知节奏研究、翻译测试、教材编写与练习内容设计具有一定的启示。This study,based upon the key-logging data,explores the number and size of translation units(TUs)processed by student translators and semi-professional translators in the translation of texts with different levels of translation difficulty.The results shows that(1)the main effect of translation experience is not significant,which means the difference in number and size of TUs between student and semi-professional translators is not significant;(2)The main effect of translation difficulty is significant.In the translation of the difficult text,the size of TU significantly decreases,which means the number of 1-to-6 word TUs significantly increases,but the number of≥7-word TUs change insignificantly.(3)The interactive effect of translation experience and translation difficulty on size of TU is found to be significant,and the analysis of simple effect further indicates that the size of TU processed by the student translators in the translation of the relatively easy text is not significantly different from that in the translation of the difficult text,but the size of TU processed by semi-professional translators in the translation of the difficult text decreases significantly compared with that processed in translating the relatively easy text.The findings can offer new data support for the construction of a cognitive model of TU processing and have some implications for further exploring translators’cognitive rhythm and designing translation test,translation textbook and exercise,among others.
