摘　　要：技术写作是技术传播内容的写作,可应用于各种技术和专业领域,作为一个集语言知识、专业技能和写作能力于一体的新型交叉学科,技术写作教育在西方已经日臻成熟,但是在我国依然处于发展初期,随着全球化的不断深入,催生出对我国技术写作教育更大的需求。本研究通过追溯技术写作教育在中西方的发展状况,探讨了国内理工科院校英语技术写作课程的现实需求,在此背景下,将国外成熟的技术写作理念与国内的教育实际相结合,力图设计一个符合理工科院校教学实际的技术写作课程,以期为国内高校开设同类课程提供借鉴。Technical writing is the writing of technical communication content,which can be applied in various technical and professional fields.As a new interdisciplinary subject,it integrates language knowledge,professional skills and writing ability.Technical writing education has become intensively mature in the West,but it is still in the initial stage of development in our country.This study traces the development of technical writing education in China and the West and discusses the practical needs of technical writing education in Chinese universities of science and engineering.By combining the mature concepts of technical writing abroad with the educational practice in China,this paper tries to design a technical writing course which is in line with the teaching practice of universities of science and engineering,so as to provide reference for the same kind of courses offered by domestic universities.
