摘 要:数字经济时代,如何提升企业双元创新是业界关注的重要议题。本文以2007—2017年沪深A股非金融类上市公司为样本数据,基于锦标赛理论和行为理论,系统研究了企业内部薪酬差距对双元创新的影响效应。实证研究发现,企业内部薪酬差距与利用式创新呈正相关关系,而与探索式创新呈倒U型关系。而且,以上关系会受到高管团队社会资本的负向调节。拓展性研究表明,企业内部薪酬差距是影响企业双元平衡战略选择的重要因素。另外,内部薪酬差距与企业双元创新的既定关系在非国企以及数字经济发展水平低的地区中更为明显。本文研究结论对企业如何设计、完善薪酬结构以及提升企业双元创新具有重要的指导意义。In the era of the digital economy,an important measure to upgrade a firm′s comparative advantage and give impetus to industrial transformation and upgrading is enterprise innovation.However,as the innovation activity is featured by high risks and uncertainty,how to push participants to engage in innovation activities actively has generated a great deal of attention in the extant literature.Many studies indicate that both the management groups and ordinary employees play important roles in innovation activities,and their compensation contract is closely related to them.Meanwhile,the intra-firm pay gap containing executive and employee compensation incentives is important in the compensation contract.Its impact on enterprise innovation cannot be ignored.This leads us to reflect on the association between the internal pay gap and enterprise innovation.Actually,the academic literature on the impact of the internal pay gap on innovation activities is proliferating,but there is no consensus on the research conclusions.Based on the tournament theory,some scholars deem that the internal pay gap can mobilize the enthusiasm of competitors and simulates their risk-taking behaviors,thus driving enterprise innovation.Based on the behavior theory,some other scholars argue that large differences between the pay of executives and employees are easy to cause feelings of inequity,spawn destructive behaviors,and thus implement enterprise innovation.We hold that the failure to distinguish innovation activities effectively is an important reason for conflicting predictions on the above relationship.According to the differences in the innovation mode,enterprise innovation activities can be divided into exploitative and exploratory innovation,namely ambidextrous innovation.With the advent of the digital economy era,a single innovation model can no longer meet the needs of the sustainable development of enterprises.For example,the fall of giant enterprises such as Kodak,Nokia,and Giant Group has proved the unsustainability of a single
