摘  要:2023年初,美国历史协会发布了《拓宽历史学术成果定义的指引》,重新扩展了对历史学术的定义,旨在消除“狭窄的专业评价”和历史学家做出的“多样性有价值的工作”之间的鸿沟,这造成“对个人和整个学科有害的不平等现象持续性存在”。历史学领域的情况在疫情期间遭遇到诸多方面的打击,历史学越来越变得像是一个吸引力减弱的领域。“工作”(Work)和“公众”(Public),这两个方面在定义从事历史学术活动的工作伦理中获得了更多关注,这些变化也将影响历史学的专业性特征和实际的研究活动。“把历史带进生活”具有现实的迫切性,诚实地使用关于过去的记录不代表在公众中间没有观点。历史交流活动建立在最基本的对彼此工作的尊重之上,这些共享价值观在当下显得尤为重要,也是历史学这门古老的学问参与到公众讨论中坚实的伦理立场。In early 2023,the American Historical Association(AHA)released“Guidelines for Broadening the Definition of Historical Scholarship(2023)”aimed at expanding“Definition of Scholarship”.The goal was to bridge the gap between“narrower boundaries”and the“wide variety of valuable work being done by historians”that“perpetuating inequities harmful to individuals and to the discipline as a whole”.The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on history and made it less attractive to the public.To address this issue,the American Historical Association(AHA)has emphasized the importance of both the“work”and“public”aspects in defining the ethical standards of historical scholarship.These changes will also impact the professional characteristics of history and the way the research is conducted.While using records of the past with honest does not necessarily mean that there are no points in public,it is essential for historians to engage in respectful exchanges of ideas with each other.These shared values are particularly important in today’s society,where ancient knowledge of history can play a vital role in public discussions.The guidelines aim to create a more inclusive and diverse approach to historical research and recognition of the importance of public engagement in the field of history.
