美国汉学家傅汉思“梅花诗”译介研究

摘　　要：本文的研究对象为美国汉学家、翻译家傅汉思的“梅花诗”译介。借助耶鲁大学等地所藏傅汉思档案和作品,本文依次探讨了傅汉思“梅花诗”译介的概况、缘起、特色和影响。研究发现:傅汉思对“梅花诗”的集中译介基于西方母题研究兴起的时代背景,寄托了他对妻子张充和的深情;傅汉思的“梅花诗”译介首译多、体裁广,译诗注重再现原诗的文体特点,译释主要揭示文化内涵和措辞化用;傅汉思对“梅花诗”的译介是中国“梅花文学”在英语世界首次全面系统的传播,对美国汉学界产生了深远影响;傅汉思对“梅花诗”的成功译介对中国文学“走出去”具有重要的启发意义。The research subject of this paper is the translation and introduction of“plum⁃blossom poetry”by American sinologist and translator Hans Hermann Frankel.With the help of Frankel archives and works in Yale University and other places,this paper explores in turn the situation,origins,features and influences of his“plum⁃blossom poetry”translation.Studies show that Frankel‘s intensive translation of“plum⁃blossom poetry”has its root in the emergence of motif research in Western academia and embodies his fond love of his wife Zhang Chonghe.Among the“plum⁃blossom poems”translated by Frankel,many had been translated for the first time in English.The translation covers a wide range of Chinese poetic forms and conveys the stylistic characteristics of the original as much as possible.Moreover,their scholarly annotations reveal the aspects of culture and the borrowings or reconstructions of expressions.Frankel enabled the first comprehensive and systematic dissemination of Chinese“plum⁃blossom literature”in the English⁃speaking world,and his“plum⁃blossom poetry”translation has greatly influenced American sinology.Such a success offers inspirations for Chinese literature“going global”.
