摘  要:面对交流合作日益频繁的世界发展趋势,为了积极加强国际警务合作,有效打击跨国犯罪活动,公安部门需要具备良好的英语素质,能够顺利处理涉外事务和案件的专门警务人才。警务英语作为ESP的重要分支,无疑是涉外警务人员必须掌握的语言技能。警务英语教学应针对涉外警务工作的具体职业需求,合理制定教学大纲,选编教学素材,改革教学理念,优化课程设计,在教学理论与警务实践相结合的基础上,积极探索适合警务英语课程的创新教学模式,培养出适应新时代公安队伍需要的复合型优秀警务人才。In order to actively strengthen international police cooperation and effectively combat transnational criminal activities,the public security department needs specialized police talents with good English quality and able to deal with foreign affairs and cases smoothly.As one of the important branches of ESP,policing English is undoubtedly a language skill for police whose first language is not English handling foreign affairs.According to the requirements of police work,the teaching of policing English should reasonably formulate syllabuses,select teaching materials,reform teaching concepts,optimize course design,and actively explore innovative teaching models suitable for policing English courses on the basis of the combination of teaching theory and police practice,so as to cultivate composite outstanding police talents who meet the requirements of the public security team in the new era.
