Based on the China Education Panel Survey(CEPS)data from 2014 to 2015,this paper uses the latent category analysis(LCA)to classify adolescents'deviant behaviors into three types:low-occurrence type(30.97%),mixed-occurrence type(58.55%),and high-occurrence type(10.48%).Then,the impact of parent-child relationship on adolescents'deviant behaviors is explored. The paper finds that the intimate parent-child relationship significantly reduces the likelihood of deviant behaviors among adolescents, but the impact of parentchild relationship is more important.Specifically, using the low-occurrence type as a reference group, the probability of mixed-occurrence and high-occurrence deviant behaviors among adolescents with intimate parent-child relationship were 26.7%/12.6%and 27.7%/21.0%lower than those with non-intimate parent-child relationship, respectively. Therefore, creating good parent-child relationships and reducing parent-child conflicts, especially parent-child conflicts, are of positive significance for promoting the development of good social behaviors among adolescents.
