摘  要:“絜矩”之道是《大学》为为政者提供的最为平易可行的修己治人之道。它深刻揭示出儒家政治哲学中上行下效的教化机理,完全不涉及施政的技术性问题。这意味着,政治的本质绝非以法责人,而是躬率以化人。而落实“絜矩”之道的“所恶”而“毋施”之法,则以通达民情为基础,使上位者的行与政得以随时处中。这一理论体系,对修正西方及现代政治治理中以法责人的弊端具有重要的理论意义。Doctrine of Xie-Jv is the most plain and feasible way for governor to improve himself and govern his people.It deeply reveals the ideological principle of Confucian political philosophy which is teaching by example and has nothing to do with governance.This means that the essence of politics is not to blame people by law,but to lead them by example.The way to carry out the doctrine is based on the communication between the governor and people so that the governor can work according to it.This theoretical system has theoretical significance for correcting the malpractice of blaming people by law which is extensively used in western and modern political governance.
