基于语料库的《琵琶行》译者风格研究——以许渊冲及宾纳英译本为例  

Corpus-based Research on Translator's Style of Song of a Pipa Player——Based on Xu Yuanchong's and Witter Bynner's Translation Works

摘　　要：《琵琶行》是唐朝诗人白居易的经典之作,具有极高的文学价值和艺术魅力。文章基于自建语料库,采取定性与定量结合的研究方法,从词汇、句子两个范畴入手,对《琵琶行》的威特·宾纳译本、许渊冲译本进行比较分析,从而考察译者风格。研究发现,许渊冲译本词汇丰富度高,翻译风格较为灵活;宾纳译本用词简单,译文地道自然。究其原因在于译者主体性与译者身份的不同。Song of a Pipa Player is a classic work of Bai Juyi,a Tang poet.It has high literary value and artistic charm.Based on the self-built corpus,this paper adopts a qualitative and quantitative research method,starting from the two categories of vocabulary and sentence,to compare and analyze the translation of Song of a Pipa Player by Witter Bynner and Xu Yuanchong,so as to investigate the translator's style.It is found that Xu's translation has a rich vocabulary and a flexible translation style.Bynner's translation is simple and natural.The reason lies in the difference between translator's subjectivity and translator's identity.
