摘 要:飞白教授曾任教于浙江大学和云南大学,是当代知名的诗歌翻译家,不仅译著等身,还在其翻译实践的基础上进行了理性思考,提出了独特的“风格译”译诗理念。本访谈主要从衍进历程、译诗策略以及译诗接受三个方面切入,探索“风格译”的思想内核。“风格译”理念的形成经历了“萌芽生发-自觉探索-成熟深化”三个阶段。该理念强调译诗时抓住并逼近原诗的风格特色,这种对风格的倚重也进一步影响了飞白对原作的选择、谨慎补偿,以及对读者“文化互动观”的培育。飞白的“风格译”对文学性的强调能在一定程度上为我国当下的外国文学汉译实践以及中国文学“走出去”中的文学性缺位提供启示。Professor Fei Bai,a leading contemporary translator of poetry,has not only produced an impressive volume of translated works but also conducted insightful reflections based on his translation practices.These reflections have culminated in his unique philosophy of a style-centric approach to poetry translation.This interview delves into the central principles of his translation philosophy by examining its evolution,the strategic choices made in his translations,and the reception of his translated works.The development of the style-centric philosophy underwent three distinct stages:inception,conscious exploration,and theoretical maturation.This philosophy places significant emphasis on capturing and closely reflecting the unique style of the original poem in the translation.Such a potent focus on style influences Fei Bai's selection of source texts,his judicious application of compensatory techniques in translation,and his efforts to foster a cultural interaction perspective among his readers.The emphasis that Fei Bai's stylecentric approach places on literariness can offer valuable insights for current practices of translating foreign literature into Chinese,while also addressing the lack of literariness in the process of"Chinese literature going global".
