摘  要:本文以《英语》(人教版)八年级上册Unit 8的阅读教学为案例,以感恩节话题为主线,以图式理论为指导,分析篇章结构与知识,融合台州临海本土文化,拓展教学内容,引导学生探究中西方文化差异,评析文化现象中隐含的文化价值,促使学生了解、认同本土文化,增强文化自信,讲好中国故事。This article utilizes the case of reading instruction in the eighth-grade English textbook for the first semester published by People’s Education Press (PEP), focusing on the theme of Thanksgiving. Grounded in schema theory, this lesson examines the interplay between discourse structure and knowledge acquisition. It incorporates elements of local culture from Linhai, Taizhou, into the instructional context to enrich the reading content. This lesson guides students in exploring the differences between Western and Chinese cultures and critically evaluating the underlying cultural values in cultural phenomena, aiming to foster students’ understanding and affinity for their local culture, thereby enhancing their cultural confidence and effectively preserving and disseminating Chinese culture through narrating Chinese stories.
