摘 要:古代汉传佛教寺院的医疗照护活动是汉传佛教生命伦理思想的重要社会呈现方式。汉传佛教寺院从事医疗照护活动,根本原因在于佛教义理将医疗照护视为慈悲心的践行,外在原因在于具备僧医、药藏、药典等条件,且得到政府和社会力量的支持和参与。汉传佛教寺院的医疗照护活动可以分为对内和对外两种主要形式,对内医疗照护越来越规范化和制度化,对外医疗照护逐渐深入乡村和民众。汉传佛教寺院医疗照护活动的理论渊源、开展条件和主要类型都蕴含公共性的特征,对当今汉传佛教生命伦理思想的社会呈现依然具有启示意义。The medical care services provided by Han Buddhist temples in ancient China were a manifestation of the ethical thoughts on life in Han Buddhism.This was rooted in the Buddhist doctrine of viewing medical care as the practice of compassion.This effort was facilitated by the presence of monk physicians,medical supplies,and medical scriptures,as well as the support and participation of government and social forces.Their medical care activities can be divided into two forms:internal and external.Internal medical care became increasingly standardized and institutionalized,while external medical care gradually extended to rural areas and more common people.Their theoretical foundation,objective conditions,and main types of medical care all embody characteristics of public service,which continue to have enlightening significance for the manifestation of ethical thoughts on life in contemporary Han Buddhism.
