摘　　要：基于COCA语料库的词频、搭配、词簇、文本内容数据,本文研究了ready position的语用特点,发现它做健身气功八段锦“预备势”英译的适切度较差。文章提出商榷性建议,将其译为preparation,为健身气功术语英译研究提供思路,以促进中华优秀传统文化的外译。This paper presents a corpus-based study of ready position as a translation of Yubei Shi denoting preparations in Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin involving frequency,collocation,cluster and close observation of corpus segments.Analysis proves ready position of inadequate appropriacy concerning its pragmatic features and effects.And preparation,instead,is tentatively suggested for future research on Ba Duan Jin terminology translation.It is hoped to contribute to C-E translation of excellent Chinese traditional culture.
