摘　　要：随着经济全球化和国际化的发展,英语已经成为全球交流的通用语言,成为了人们沟通、交流的桥梁。在此背景下,成人高等教育英语教学的重要性日益凸显。职业需求成为了成人高等教育英语教学改革的重要方向。基于此,以职业需求为导向,探讨成人高等教育英语教学的现状和面临的困境,并提出相应的改革建议。通过深入的剖析,认为职业需求导向是成人高等教育英语教学改革的必然趋势,必须增强教学内容的实用性和针对性,提高学生的职业素养和能力,使英语教学更加贴近职业需求,以满足现代社会对英语人才的需求。With the development of economic globalization and internationalization,English has become the common language for global communication and a bridge for people to communicate.In this context,the importance of English teaching in adult higher education has become increasingly prominent.Vocational demands have become an important direction of English teaching reform in adult higher education.Guided by vocational demands,this paper discusses the current situation and difficulties of English teaching in adult higher education,and puts forward corresponding reform suggestions.Through in-depth analysis,it is believed that the orientation of vocational demands is the inevitable trend of English teaching reform in adult higher education.It is necessary to strengthen the practicality and pertinence of teaching content,improve students’professional literacy and ability,and make English teaching closer to vocational demands,so as to meet the needs of modern society for English talents.
