《水浒传》中经典人物的形象塑造及其英译研究——以沙译鲁智深为例

摘　　要：聚焦于《水浒传》核心人物——鲁智深的形象,通过考察原作和沙博理(Sidney Shapiro)译本中对鲁智深形象的塑造,发现沙译总体上能够再现原作的语言、动作和心理描写,从而构建出相似的人物形象。作为翻译家,沙博理对英语语言的驾驭之精湛在处理某些汉英转换时体现得淋漓尽致;但作为英语母语译者,沙译无法彻底避免因语言文化障碍而对部分形象描写的处理存在误译或死译之嫌,有时这甚至会损毁经典人物形象从原作向译作的“移植”。Focusing on the most important figure of the classic image of LU Zhishen in,Outlaws of the Marsh,through checking original work and construction of LU Zhishen′s image in Sidney Shapiro′s translation,it is found that Shapiro generally can construct a similar image through recurring the original language,motion and mental description.As a translator,Shapiro′s excellent control over English language and translating skills are well displayed when some parts are dealt with from Chinese to English;however,with English as his native language,Shapiro sometimes cannot bypass some understanding problems caused by Chinese and its cultures,which is likely to damage the transplantation of typical image from the original work to its English version.
