论葛译《生死疲劳》中诗学特征的传递与变异——基于文学文体学视角  

On the transmission and variation of poetic features in Howard Goldblatt’s translation of“Life and Death are Wearing me Out”——From the perspective of literary stylistics

摘  要:基于文学文体学二元论理论,对《生死疲劳》葛浩文译本进行分析,可以看到,葛浩文在尽量保持原文内容和形式的基础上,通过抽象表达与具象表达的相互替换、转换句子形式、使用押韵等方式,增强了小说译文语言的陌生化效果和诗学特征。这种形式上的改写或风格上的变异,不仅没有违背原文的文学意义,而且可以提高译文读者的审美体验,是对原文更高程度的忠实。Based on the dualism theory of literary stylistics,this article analyzes the translation of Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out by Howard Goldblatt.By employing the literary stylistics,this paper aims to study the transmission and variation of poetic features from the lexical,grammatical and rhetoric aspects.It can be seen that Howard Goldblatt,while trying to maintain the content and form of the original text as much as possible,enhances the estrangement effect and poetic characteristics of the translated language of the novel through the substitution of abstract and concrete expressions,the transformation of sentence forms,and the use of rhyme.The changes and variations in style do not violate the literary significance of the source text.On the contrary,it can improve the poetic feature of the target text,which is a higher degree of fidelity to the original text.
