摘 要:翻译硕士专业学位(MTI)教学应重视职业伦理教育,近来已得到学界重视,但目前对MTI学员职业伦理认知现状的研究却十分欠缺。本文采用随机抽样的方法,对中国川渝地区MTI学员的职业伦理认知现状进行了问卷调查,共计回收来自12所高校的有效问卷295份。数据分析结果显示,绝大多数调查对象对翻译职业伦理的认知十分有限。运用多元线性回归分析,以全职工作经历、CATTI考试通过情况、翻译职业伦理类课程学习情况3项为自变量,以职业伦理规范认知、伦理决策行为认知和翻译职业伦理认知3项指标的评分作为因变量,结果显示3个自变量中仅“翻译职业伦理类课程学习情况”与3个因变量呈现显著相关性(P<0.05)。本次调查中97.63%的调查对象表达了学习职业伦理的意愿,与现在大多数MTI培养单位相应课程缺乏之间矛盾突出。根据分析结果,本文认为开设翻译职业伦理类课程十分必要,并提出了课程的设计方案建议。Professional ethics education for MTI students has gained increasing attention in recent years in China.However,the MTI students’perception of professional ethics has rarely been studied.This paper aims at investigating MTI students’perception of professional ethics.A questionnaire developed by the authors was randomly distributed to MTI students from universities in Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality,and 295 valid responses from 12 universities were collected.Data analysis showed that most respondents knew little about professional ethics.A multiple linear regression analysis was conducted with full-time work experience,CATTI exam pass status,and professional ethics course taking status as independent variables,and scores of the respondents’perception of the codes of professional ethics,of translator’s and interpreter’s ethical decisionmaking,and of professional ethics as dependent variables.The results reveal a significant correlation between“professional ethics course-taking status”and the 3 dependent variables(P<0.05).The sharp contrast between the strong desire to learn professional ethics expressed by 97.63%of the respondents and the lack of such courses in most MTI programs foregrounds the need and urgency to provide a well-designed course.Based on the research findings,this paper suggests a design of a“Professional Ethics for Translators”course for MTI students.
