摘 要:本文以笔者中国诗歌英译为例,根据“形式突出型文本”对翻译的要求,以实证研究的方式,探索中国古典诗歌外译的策略和方法。研究表明,中诗英译需“仿效”中诗的音律、节奏、对称、“齐言”等形式审美,而不可“仿效”英诗的风格,将中诗译为颂歌体、三拍子体、阿纳克利翁体、十四行诗等英诗诗体。在“西方文化中心论”的今天,中国文化“走出去”、中国诗歌文化的对外传播,需以中诗译英诗,尽可能地凸显中国诗歌审美特征在西方世界的存在,体现中国诗歌词汇的内涵美、对仗的工整美、音韵的和谐美、节奏的错落美。According to the requirements of the“form-focused text”,this paper delves into the strategies and methods of translating Chinese poetry into English through an empirical study,which uses the author’s English translations of Chinese classic poems as illustrations.The research indicates that the C-E translation of Chinese poetry should“emulate”the formal aesthetics of Chinese poetry,including its meter,rhythm,symmetry,and line length while avoiding“imitating”the style of English poetry by translating Chinese poems into odes,tercets,Anacreontic verses,or sonnets.In today’s cultural research,which tends to be“Western-centered”,the“out-going of Chinese culture”and the dissemination of Chinese poetry culture should be done by translating Chinese poems into English ones according to Chinese poetic forms,highlighting the presence of Chinese poetic aesthetics whenever possible,and reflecting the beauty of Chinese poetry through the connotation of its vocabulary,the neatness of its antithesis,the harmony of its phonology and the well-balance of its rhythms.
