《大公报》与湖南儿童文学的发生

摘　　要：湖南《大公报》围绕儿童观念、儿童教育、儿童文学以及文言与白话的优劣进行充分讨论,推动本地现代儿童观的形成与白话代文言的语言变革,为湖南儿童文学的发生提供了思想基础与语言条件。《大公报》刊载了大量儿童文学作品:其儿童小说通过描写儿童的苦难生活和校园生活,展现儿童的生活状态和社会现实;其童话则通过拟人手法和白话语体,向儿童介绍科学知识和生活哲理;其儿歌则反映婚嫁风俗、表现童真童趣,语言鲜活,诙谐幽默。《大公报》还引进翻译了王尔德、格林兄弟、安徒生等作家的多篇著名儿童文学作品,不仅丰富了湖南儿童文学的内容,也为本地作家提供了创作的典范。在湖南儿童文学发生期缺乏儿童文学期刊、其他一般报纸很少刊发儿童文学作品的情况下,《大公报》扮演了不可或缺的角色,为湖南儿童文学的发生提供了必要的平台和支持,奠定了湖南儿童文学的格局,为20世纪30年代湖南儿童文学的发展打下了坚实的基础。Hunan Ta Kung Pao carried out thorough discussions on children’s concepts,children’s education,children’s litera-ture,as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the vernacular and the written language,promoting the formation of a modern outlook on children in the region and the linguistic change of the vernacular to replace the written language,and providing the ideo-logical basis and linguistic conditions for the occurrence of children’s literature in Hunan.Ta Kung Pao also published a large num-ber of children’s literature,including children’s novels,which showed children’s state of life and social reality by describing chil-dren’s hardship and school life;fairy tales,which introduced scientific knowledge and life philosophy to children through anthropo-morphic techniques and vernacular style;and children’s songs,which reflected marriage customs,showed children’s innocence and interest,with vivid language and humor,making a significant contribution to the diversity and richness of children’s literature in Hu-nan.At the same time,Ta Kung Pao also introduced and translated a number of famous children’s literature works,such as Wilde,the Brothers Grimm,and Hans Christian Andersen,which not only enriched the content of Hunan children’s literature,but also pro-vided local writers with creative models,promoted the diversified development of children’s literature in Hunan.On the premise that there was a lack of children’s literature periodicals during the period of the emergence of children’s literature in Hunan,and that other newspapers rarely published children’s literature,Ta Kung Pao played an indispensable role in providing the necessary plat-form and support for the emergence of children’s literature in Hunan,laying down the pattern of children’s literature in Hunan,and laying a solid foundation for the development of children’s literature in Hunan in the 1930s.
