摘　　要：新文科背景下,地方本科院校面临人才培养目标多样化和应用型转型的挑战,英语专业阅读课程亟须改革.研究通过分析湖南科技学院等的教学现状,结合新文科理念,从课程设计、教学模式、教学资源建设提出改革策略,并进行案例探究.地方本科院校应综合培养语言与跨文化素质,创新教学模式,建设地方特色资源.新文科背景下,英语阅读课程改革应以培养应用型人才为导向,融入地方特色资源,提升学生语言运用能力.Under the new liberal arts framework,regional universities face challenges in diverse talent cultivation goals and an application-oriented shift,necessitating reform in English reading courses.The study analyzes the teaching conditions at institutions like Hunan University of Science and Engineering,integrating new liberal arts principles to suggest reforms in curriculum design,teaching models,and resource development,supported by case studies.It shows that regional universities should cultivate the language and cross-cultural competency synthetically,innovative teaching methods,and build local characteristic resources.Under the new liberal arts context,reform in English reading courses should prioritize application-oriented talent cultivation,integrate into the local characteristic resource,and strengthen language skills in both local and cross-cultural settings.
