邦斯尔英文全译本《红楼梦》误译辨析——以《芙蓉女儿》的翻译为例

摘　　要：邦斯尔所译的《红楼梦》是该书的第一个英文全译本,目前为止对该译本的研究仍处于起步阶段,大多比较宏观,不够深入细致.研究以小说中篇幅最长的诗词《芙蓉女儿诔》的误译为例,从底本、译者的语言功底、文化等方面探求翻译问题产生的原因,为科学评价该译本提供一定的事实依据,同时也为今后的文学翻译工作提供一些借鉴.The Reverend B.S.Bonsall's translation of Hongloumeng has been acknowledged as the first complete English translation of the novel.The study of this translation is still at an initial stage up till the present day.Most of the previous related studies are macroscopic and therefore lack in-depth and detailed research.The study analyzes errors in B.S.Bonsall's translation in the case of the translation of Furong Nier Lei which is the longest verse in the novel from the aspects of the master copy on which the translation is based,the language competence of the translator and misunderstanding of culture,etc.The result of this study provides a basis for scientifically evaluating B.S.Bonsall's translation and also gives some advice on the work of literary translation in the future.
