摘 要:沈子善生活的年代始于19世纪末,终于20世纪中叶,他在童年和青年时期经历了近代中国新旧教育的更替与变迁。受五四运动和新文化运动的洗礼,沈子善怀揣着“教育救国”的炽热理想,在中国传统文化和西方教育思想的启迪下,踏上了追求进步,追寻真理,以教育为石、雕琢国民灵魂的征途。沈子善一生笔耕不辍,著述颇丰,内容涉及小学教育、中等教育、师范教育、义务教育、高等教育、社会教育等领域;他在课程、教材、教法的设计组织,本土化的教育行政探索与研究,师范教育、国民教育与个性教育的理论与实施等方面都作出了卓越贡献,形成了涉猎广泛、独具特色的教育思想,具有弘扬中国传统文化、融汇西方教育思想、服务国家现实需求的特点。Shen Zishan lived from the end of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century.From childhood to youth,he experienced the replacement and changes of old and new education in modern China.He was deeply baptized by the May 4th Movement and the New Culture Movement,With the ideal of"saving the country through education",he embarked on the journey of pursuing progress and truth,taking education as instrument under the enlightenment of traditional Chinese culture and western educational thought.He has written classics on primary,secondary,normal,compulsory,higher and social education and made outstanding contributions to the design and organization of cur riculum,teaching material and teaching method,the exploration and research of localized educational administration,and the theory and implementation of normal,national and personal educa tion,forming a wide range of unique educational thoughts which have the characteristics of promoting traditional Chinese culture,integrating western educational thoughts and serving the national needs.
