技术赋能时代图书翻译育人作用研究——基于MTI学生图书翻译体验数据

摘　　要：图书翻译的育人价值早已受到外语教育界、翻译教育界的关注,图书翻译长期被视为提升外语学习者外语能力及翻译能力的有效手段。文章以PACTE翻译能力模型为理论依据设计调查问卷,调研在校期间参与过图书翻译的MTI学生翻译能力的提高情况。调研结果显示,图书翻译能有效提高MTI学生的双语能力、语言外能力、翻译专业知识能力、工具能力、策略能力,并能够增强其心理素质。然而,MTI学生在图书翻译过程中也面临诸多挑战,如参与翻译的图书种类相对单一、所在院校尚未充分开发图书翻译资源、难以独立承担图书翻译任务等。在技术赋能时代背景下,MTI院校应发挥科研政策的引领作用、加强图书翻译资源开发、积极拥抱翻译技术、促进图书翻译与翻译教学深度融合,充分发挥图书翻译的育人价值。The educational value of book translation has long been recognized by the education communities of foreign languages and translation as an effective means to enhance foreign language learners’language proficiency and translation competence.With the PACTE translation competence model as the theoretical basis,a questionnaire was designed to investigate the improvement of translation competence among MTI students who participated in book translation during their MTI study years.The survey results indicate that book translation can effectively enhance students’bilingual sub-competence,extra-linguistic sub-competence, knowledge about translation, instrumental sub-competence, strategic sub-competence, and psychological resilience. MTI students, however, also face numerous challenges in book translation, such as there are limited book genres available for their participation, book translation resources are insufficiently developed by their institutions, and students can hardly undertake book translation projects on their own. In the context of technology empowerment, MTI institutions should leverage the guiding role of research policies, enhance the development of books translation resources, embrace translation technology in an active manner, promote a deep integration of book translation and translation education, and fully realize the educational value of book translation.
