家庭背景与青少年教育期望:基于心理健康的中介作用分析

摘　　要：具有家庭背景优势的孩子教育期望更高。以往研究通过物质支持、心理濡化和行为参与等机制解释家庭背景与青少年教育期望之间的关联,但并未完全解释。本研究提出将青少年心理健康作为中介机制并提出相应假设,采用“青少年健康主题数据库”针对中国山东省12 480名高中生(2017年n_(1)=3 215,2020年n_(2)=9 065)2次截面调查数据进行分析。结果发现:父母教育水平较高以及家庭经济条件较好的学生相对于其他家庭背景学生的心理健康状况更好;同时,心理健康的优势进一步提升了他们上大学的期望。青少年心理健康部分解释了家庭背景与教育期望的关系,基于青少年心理健康的中介机制是关于家庭背景影响教育期望的传统解释框架的重要补充。Children with family background advantages tend to have higher educational expectations.Previous studies have explained the relationship between family background and adolescent educational expectations through mechanisms such as material support,psychological acculturation,and behavioral participation,yet they haven't fully accounted for it.This study proposes using adolescents'mental health as an intermediary mechanism and proposes corresponding hypotheses.The study used the“Database of Youth Health”to analyze the crosssectional survey data of 12480 high school students in Shandong Province,China in 2017(n_(1)=3215)and 2020(n_(2)=9065).The results showed that students with higher parental education and better family economic conditions had better mental health compared to students from other family backgrounds;Meanwhile,the advantage of mental health further enhanced their expectations of going to college.The adolescent mental health section explains the relationship between family background and educational expectations,and the mediating mechanism based on adolescents'mental health is an important supplement to the traditional explanatory mechanism.
