"Temporal Emotional Work":Emotional Positive Management Strategy and Logic of Caregivers of Adolescents Who have Dropped Out of School for Depression

摘  要:文章通过对抑郁症休学青少年及其照顾者的深度访谈,构建了“时间性情感工作”的理论框架,并阐释了抑郁症青少年父母照顾实践中情感的积极化管理策略及其行动逻辑。研究发现,随着照顾历程的深入,父母的情感工作可分为三类:一是照护早期的回顾型情感工作,通过象征性重建过去,以回溯的方式梳理当下情感;二是照护中后期的聚焦型情感工作,采用情感积极化策略对当下美好时刻进行“选择性关注”;三是照护后期的发展型情感工作,借助对未来的“悬置感”纾解负性体验。父母开展时间性情感工作的深层动因在于其对自我身份认同及家庭情感联结重构的渴望。文章揭示了家庭照顾者进行情感管理时的主观能动性,以及情感工作对个体与家庭发展的积极作用,研究结果有助于深化与拓展情感工作理论。Through in-depth interviews with depressed teenagers and their caregivers,this study constructs a theoretical framework of"temporal emotional work"and explores the active emotional management strategies employed by parents in caring for depressed adolescents,along with their underlying action logic.The findings reveal that as the care process deepens,parental emotional work evolves into three distinct types:1.Retrospective emotional work in the early stage,where parents triage complicated emotions through symbolic reconstruction of the past and reflective processing of present emotions;2.Focused emotional work during the middle-to-late stages,utilizing"selective attention"to current positive moments as an affective coping strategy;3.Developmental emotional work in the later phase,harnessing"suspended anticipation"about the future to mitigate negative experiences.The primary motivation for parents to engage in temporal emotional work stems from their quest for self-identity renewal and the reconstruction of familial emotional bonds.This research highlights family caregivers'agentic role in emotional governance while demonstrating how emotional work positively shapes both individual and familial development,thereby advancing theoretical understandings of emotional labor.
