摘　　要：英语音节划分在英语语音学习中必不可少,但是教学中仍然存在不足之处。通过对汉口学院英语专业大一学生在充分了解音节划分规律前后作业情况对比分析,认为从语音学的角度系统学习音节划分规律十分重要。It is essential for English majors to pay special attention to syllable division when learning English Phonetics.But there is still a lot more to be done in teaching and learning syllable division.Through making an analysis of the assignments to the 1st year English majors in HanKou University before and after learning the principles of syllable division,this paper throws light on the importance of systematic learning of syllable division in English phonetics learning.
