摘　　要：山西当代文学在中国文学史上占据重要地位,但在翻译研究领域尚未引起重视。通过搜集信息资料、访谈和认真统计,文章得出"山西当代非科幻小说及其译著相关信息一览表"和相关折线图,在此基础上从五方面进行细致分析和合理阐释:译介作家及英译小说类型;原作和译作发表时间、数量、特点、规律和趋势;译者;翻译模式;出版、传播和推广模式等。这对我国的当代小说翻译理论和实践以及山西乃至中国文学"走出去"具有重要启示和价值。Shanxi makes a prominent existence in the Modern Chinese Literature History,yet unfortunately it is overlooked and underestimated in the translation studies. Trough data collection,interviews and analysis of the collected data,the author create a form and a correspondent line chart. The author then elaborates on the status quo of English translation of Shanxi novels by resorting to the form and line chart derived from the data available. Five aspects of translation are explored: the writer and the type of translated works; the characteristics and trend of the original and the translated works along the timeline; the translator; translation modes; the publishing,selling and promotion of the translated works. The paper concludes with the proposals,the constructive suggestions for translation theory and practice,for the 'Going Out 'of Chinese novels in particular and Chinese literature in general.
