摘  要:英国当代语言教师学习理论认为,教师的学习是一个社会性的、持续不断的、开放式的过程,语言教师教育的重点不仅仅是传授教学技巧、应用语言学及语言习得理论,尤应关注教师认知能力的培养,帮助他们从自己的教学实践中探寻、归纳和研究教学理论,增进对教学的理解。According to language teacher learning theories in ELT, teacher learning is a social, continuous and open-ended process. Language teacher education should focus itself on developing language teachers' cognitive abilities to explore, to induce and to study their own theories about language teaching rather than just teaching them methodology, applied linguistics and language learning theories. It is through this way that ELT teachers could better understand ELT and that their learning could be enhanced.
