摘　　要：英语谚语从字面看表达的是日常生活现象，但往往具有深层含义。英语谚语的汉译不但要忠实的表达原文的思想内容，而且要尽可能保持原文的形象比喻。Proverbs in English language are the precious wealth of English cultural treasure-house. Although they sometimes seem to express the popular things or simple things of our daily life, they have some special and deeper meanings in fact. How to translate them into Chinese proverbs, this is the main aim discussed in this artcle.
