摘 要:近代商人以中国社会经济发展的实际、国家的富强和现代化作为思考教育问题的出发点和归宿。在教育培养目标上,突破了传统人才观念的束缚,把培养适合近代社会发展需要的专门人才、创新人才提到议事日程。在教育功能的认识上,突出强调教育与经济的互动关联,与知识分子阶层把教育作为他们施展政治抱负的舞台形成鲜明对比。在教育培养对象上,关注社会下层民众的生活方式、风俗习惯和价值观念的演变,期望通过各种形式把教育的种子散播于社会的每一个角落。Modern businessmen regarded the fact of social economic development, the richness and strength of the country and modernization as the start and end-result of education problem. As far as educational objective is concerned, they advocated to bring up specialist and innovative person which adapt to the development of modern society. When it comes to the educational function, they extremely emphasize the interdependent relation between education and economy that is strikingly in contract with the intelligentsia (they put good use their political ambition by education). As to the object of education, they pay attention to the lifestyle, custom and valuation of the low class. They expect to spread education to every corner of the social by varied forms.
