摘 要:本文根据作者连续三年所进行的问卷调查的结果,指出美国大学初级阶段的汉语教学至少存在三个方面的问题,影响了汉字教学的效率:1)忽视汉字笔画的教学;2)"以词为本",忽视汉语特点;3)忽视电脑多媒体技术在汉字教学中的积极作用.针对这三个问题,本文在作者教学实践的基础上提出了解决这些问题的对策,以期提高美国大学汉字初级阶段教学的效率.Based on the results of a research questionnaire conducted for three consecutive years, the article points out that there exist at least three problems that have negatively effected the efficiency of Chinese character teaching at the elementary level in American universities: 1) neglecting the teaching and learning of Chinese character strokes, 2) neglecting the unique characteristics of the Chinese language by treating Chinese words rather than characters as the basic meaning units in teaching, 3) neglecting the use of multimedia computer technologies in assisting the teaching and learning of Chinese characters. The article puts forward the tactics drawn from the author's teaching experiences to tackle the above three problems in order to improve the efficiency of Chinese character teaching at the elementary level in American universities.
