摘　　要：本文从定义、类别、理据及修辞功能四个方面探讨了英语习语临时变体这一特殊的语言现象,分析了变体及其原体之间的内在联系,并讨论了习语临时变体的修辞功能。The essay explores the special phenomenon of the temporary deviation of English idioms from four aspects, namely, definition, classification, theoretical basis, and rhetorical effects. It also analyses the inner relations between the original idioms and their deviations with an emphasis on the rhetorical effects.
