摘 要:文章探讨预设、歧义与语境之间内在的相互关系与工作原理。预设是说话人假定为双方共有知识的一种基本意义成分,它在交际过程中不断发展着语境,同时又被语境操纵甚至消除。在说话人有意或无意地将预设包含在语句内部的过程中,常常会触发歧义,而潜在预设在特定语境下的可变性也会触发歧义,这些歧义可借助预设和多元化语境来消除。This paper studies the interrelationship between presupposition, context and ambiguity. Ambiguity arises when the speaker intentionally or unintentionally adopts some presuppositions and when some of the presuppositions are cancelled or changed in a certain context. Since presuppositions are assumptions against which the assertion makes sense, they can only be tested through the real world. Therefore the context, in its wider sense,helps a lot to determine the meaning and secure the communicating event.
