摘　　要：翻译标准一直是翻译界争论的焦点。在过去的几十年中,有关翻译标准的新"术语"大量涌现,争论旷日持久。作者发现,这些新"术语"并没有多少本质上的差异,争论毫无意义。受诸多因素的影响与制约,我们不应该也不可能给翻译定一个或几个衡量的标准。Translation criterion has long been the target of all disputes in the field of translation. The past few decades witnessed a noisy world dense with new terms intended as translation criterion. This paper argues that such endless new-term-centric disputes will lead nowhere and all attempts to fix a criterion for translation will end up a waste of time, because translation involves a lot more factors than we can set a definite criterion by.
