摘　　要：外语交际能力实际上是一种跨文化的交际能力 ,而培养学生的跨文化交际能力就是在英语教学中进行英语语言综合素质教育。本文从对跨文化交际能力的理论分析着手 ,探讨了跨文化交际能力在大学英语语言综合素质教育中的重要性 ,并认为当前的大学英语教学应转变思想把重点放在全面提高学生综合性实用能力上来。The competence for communication in a foreign language is an intercultural communicative competence, while fostering college students intercultural communicative competence lies in cultivation of students comprehensive English language quality. This paper expounds the importance and urgency of intercultural communicative competence in students comprehensive English language quality education through analysis of intercultural communicative competence in college English teaching, and points out that teaching ideological focus should be shifted onto nourishing college students' comprehensive practical quality.
