摘　　要：ICDE是国际开放与远程教育协会的英文缩写。协会现任主席詹姆斯·泰勒(James Taylor)教授来自澳大利亚南昆士兰大学,曾是主管环球学习事务的副校长。 今年2月18日,由ICDE主办的两年一届的国际远程教育大会在中国香港举行。应大会组织委员会主席、香港公开大学校长谭尚渭教授的邀请,和ICDE詹姆斯·泰勒主席的应允,本刊记者计划出席这次国际远程教育领域最具规模和权威的盛会,但记者中原因故未能出席,而只能授权赴港参会的上海远程教育集团吴钧副研究员,以本刊特约记者的身份,与詹姆斯·泰勒教授进行了一次近距离对话。对于记者的到访,香港公开大学遥距与成人教育研究中心研究员张伟远博士给予了盛情接待,并专门派中心的区婉斯小姐做记者的随同译员,共同完成了这次“高阶访谈”。本文以记者吴钧与詹姆斯·泰勒教授的对话为主,编辑部在其对话之后略做了补充性评论,目的在于让读者更清晰地了解我们的采访意图和编辑思想。ICDE is the abbreviation of International Council of Open and Distance Education. Prof. James Taylor is the Chairman of ICDE now. The 21st ICDE World Conference on Open Learning and Distance Education was held in Hong Kong, China on Feb. 18 ,2004. Zhong yuan, the reporter of the journal, was invited to take part in the conference by the president of OUHK, the chairman of the conference, but couldnt attend it for other reason. So associate prof. Wu Jun from Shanghai Distance Education Group, as the special reporter of the journal, had an interview with prof. James Taylor. Dr. Zhang Weiyuan of OUHK had provided great help for the interview. Ms. Ou Wansi acted as the interpreter. The report is based on the dialogues between Wu Jun and James Taylor. The editor added some comments after each dialogue so that the readers can understand the aim of the interview.
