摘　　要：政治文本中的隐喻起着表达政治立场、引导舆论方向的重要作用。因此,隐喻的准确翻译在政治文本中显得尤为重要。基于此,本文以《人类减贫的中国实践》白皮书为研究材料,对其中隐喻表达的英译策略进行分析,以期为后续政治文本中的隐喻英译提供借鉴。研究发现,隐喻对等、再隐喻化、去隐喻化和隐喻化在白皮书英译本中都有着丰富的体现,译者对翻译策略的选择主要是基于译文的可接受性和可读性;译者也会将源语中的非隐喻表达进行隐喻化,以增强语言的美感。Metaphors in political texts play an important role in expressing political stance and guiding the direction of public opinion. Therefore, the accurate translation of metaphors is particularly im-portant in political texts. Based on this, this paper probes into the strategies for translating metaphoric expressions in the bilingual version of Poverty Alleviation: China’s Experience and Contribution, aiming to give some reference for the future translation of metaphors in political texts. The result of the study shows that metaphorical equivalence, re-metaphorization, de-metaphorization and metaphorization are all embodied in the English translation of the white paper;the choice of translation strategies by the translator is mainly based on the acceptability and readability of the translation;the non-metaphoric expressions in the source language will also be metaphorized by the translator in order to enhance the beauty of the language.
