从《道德经》英译看译者主体性——以许渊冲译本第一章为例  

The Subjectivity of the Translator from the English Translation of the Tao Te Ching: A Case Study of the First Chapter of Xu Yuanchong’s Translation

摘　　要：本文选取《道德经》第一章(许渊冲译本),利用李长栓教授的CEA框架(理解,表达,变通)理论,以现代汉语为载体,将文言文文本和英译文本转化为现代汉语译文,比对两者的现代汉语译本,讨论译者在“三段论”框架下“变通”环节对目的语文本做出的调整,反观在英译古汉语典籍时,译者主体性所带来的影响。This paper selects the first chapter of the Tao Te Ching (translated by Xu Yuanchong) and utilizes Professor Li Changshuan’s CEA framework (Comprehension, Expression, Adaptation) theory. Using modern Chinese as the carrier, the paper translates the classical Chinese text and the English translation into modern Chinese versions. By comparing the two modern Chinese translations, it discusses the translator’s adjustments made to the target text in the “Adaptation” stage of the “Three-Stage Theory”. This study reflects on the influence of the translator’s subjectivity in the translation of ancient Chinese classics into English.
