目的论视角下美剧《东邻西舍》字幕翻译赏析

摘　　要：字幕翻译是众多翻译类型中的一个门类,为观众观看外国影片提供了便利,力求在最大程度上使译文效果接近于原文效果,为观众理解原文信息搭建桥梁,同时帮助他们感受到不同文化的魅力。情景喜剧《东邻西舍》主要讲述白人Dave举家搬到黑人社区后发生的故事,因其幽默诙谐广受观众喜爱。该文以人人影视字幕组所译的《东邻西舍》中的台词语料为研究对象,以目的论为理论指导,具体分析翻译目的论在影视字幕翻译中的应用,以该影片第一季中的实际译例来讨论字幕翻译过程中采用的翻译策略、方法和技巧。希望提供有效翻译建议,提高字幕翻译的质量,推动以观众为导向的影视字幕翻译的发展。Subtitle translation, as a sub-category within the vast realm of translation, facilitates audiences in watching foreign films by striving to achieve the closest possible effect to the original text, thereby bridging the gap for viewers to comprehend the original information and simultaneously immersing them in the charm of diverse cultures. The sitcom “The Neighborhood” revolves around the story of a white family, the Daves, who move into a predominantly black neighborhood, and has garnered widespread popularity among audiences for its humor and wit. This paper takes the subtitle corpus of “The Neighborhood” translated by YYeTs Subtitle Group as the research object, guided by the theory of Skopos, to specifically analyze the application of Skopos theory in film and television subtitle translation. Through practical translation examples from the first season of the show, it discusses the translation strategies, methods, and techniques employed in the process of subtitle translation. It aims to provide effective translation suggestions, enhance the quality of subtitle translation, and promote the development of audience-oriented film and television subtitle translation.
