乔治·斯坦纳阐释学翻译理论下的译者主体性研究——以《透明的红萝卜》葛浩文英译本为例  

On Translator’s Subjectivity from George Steiner’s Hermeneutic Motion Theory—A Case Study of Howard Goldblatt’s Translation of Radish

摘　　要：本研究基于乔治·斯坦纳的阐释学翻译理论,特别是其提出的“信任–侵入–吸收–补偿”四步骤翻译过程,深入分析了莫言小说《透明的红萝卜》的葛浩文英译本。通过“作家–原著–翻译家–译本–读者”的互动框架,本文从译者主体性的视角出发,探讨译者如何在尊重原著的基础上,通过创造性的语言转换和文化传递,实现精准的意义转换和有效的文化交流。研究发现,葛浩文在翻译过程中充分体现了译者主体性,不仅在语言层面进行了创造性转换,还在文化层面进行了恰当的补偿,为读者提供了一个既忠实于原著又富有艺术魅力的译本。This study is based on George Steiner’s hermeneutic motion theory, particularly his proposed four-step translation process of trust-aggression-incorporation-restitution, and conducts an in-depth analysis of the translation of Mo Yan’s novel Radish by Howard Goldblatt. Through the interactive framework of author-original work-translator-translation-reader, this paper starts from the perspective of the translator’s subjectivity to explore how the translator, while respecting the original work, achieves accurate meaning conversion and effective cultural exchange through creative language transformation and cultural transmission. The study finds that Howard Goldblatt fully demonstrated the translator’s subjectivity in the translation process, not only creatively transforming on the linguistic level but also appropriately compensating on the cultural level, providing readers with a translation that is both faithful to the original work and full of artistic charm.
