2016年,在湖北省武汉地区发现一种茭白(Zizania latifolia)新病害,鉴定确认该病害是中国大陆地区茭白的一种病害新纪录——茭白细菌性基腐病(Enterobacter cloacae)。对茭白细菌性基腐病的发生及为害情况进行了初步调查。
