摘 要:素质教育是当代中国教育的重大课题,也是全社会当前普遍关注后代成才的焦点,研究和实践素质教育是中国教育界和教育者的责任。笔者参照了众多的素质教育理论和方法,根据自己多年来从事高等教育的经验,认为对当代大学生进行素质教育最关键的是提高智力,在高智力的条件下,才能进行其他的各项素质教育。而智力因素主要是抽象思维能力,其中主动提高抽象思维能力更是素质教育中重要的方法。Quality-oriented education is a significant and central issue in contemporary Chinese educationand excites the societys close attention to the cultivation of useful later generations. It is the educational circle and educators who should take the responsibility to make a research and practice in quality -oriented education. Consulting many theories and principles and based on many years instructive experience in colleges and universities, the author thinks the key to quality- oriented education for students is to increase their intelligence. Other aspects of quality-oriented education can be conducted only under the circumstance of high intelligence, of which the focus factor is the abstract thinking ability. Furthermore, to improve such abilities on their own initiative is an important approach to conduct quality-oriented education.
